Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson - born Jacqueline Luesby to Chris Watson and Jacqueline Luesby, two British lawyers - was born on the 8th of July, 1989 in Paris. When she was just five years old and moved to Oxfordshire and enrolled in the Dragon School. Emma was only six when she decided she wanted to be an actor. She studied for a number of years at Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a Part-time theatre school located in Oxford where she was taught acting as well as singing. As early as age ten, she took part and performed the main role in a number of Stagecoach School plays and productions. In 1999 casting began for Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2001) the movie adaptation of British author J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel. Agents for casting found Emma by way of her Oxford theatre instructor. David Heyman informed Emma, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint after 8 auditions. They were selected as three leads Hermione Gringer Harry Potter Ron Weasley. Emma's film debut coincided with the release Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2002). It was the highest-grossing film of 2001, the film set records for its debut day revenue as well as opening weekend takings. The film was praised by reviewers, and so were the performance of three young stars. The Daily Telegraph, an important British newspaper, called Emma's performances "amazing". Emma received five awards in recognition of her work in the movie.
