Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, the daughter of a musician from Mexico was born into the music-loving parents of her family. The music she grew up with was traditional and old boleros, along with traditional romantic and Ranchero songs. Ana is an avid fan of tangos. Also, she loves operas and any form drama. Ana started learning how to play the piano and sing at an early age alongside her mother. She received more formal training in singing when she reached the age of 16 old, under the legendary Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. In Guadalajara she studied at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara as well as in Toluca at the School of Sacred Music. When she was a student, and a young professional, she was a part of various chamber groups as well as opera choirs in Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. She sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to southern California. She currently performs traditional Latin American songs at private occasions as a soloist. Passion and enthusiasm for music, art, and performing has her involved with many local organizations as a performer and teacher. Ana was also a member of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is presently a professor of the Performance Loft. Ana is a fan of the traditional Latin American songs and hopes to inspire other people to follow in her footsteps.
